Super Secret Movie Rules: Slasher (2004)

Runtime: 42 min

"In 2004, VH1 unveiled their fantastic series of documentaries called "Super Secret Movie Rules" which purported to reveal the secrets (RE: cliches) of the various popular genres of film. Genres covered include: Stupid and Stupider, Sports Underdogs, Superheroes, Tearjerkers and Disaster movies. This episode covered the horror genre and it's most popular sub-genre - Slasher Films!

This clip show features comments from a variety of horror luminaries (such as Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Joe Bob Briggs) as well as a bevy of annoying C-list celebrities. They talk about all the things that make slasher films great - and at times goofy. All in all, this makes for fun watching for fans of the horror/slasher genre. Films covered includes: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play, Hellraiser, Scream, Scary Movie, and Freddy vs Jason."
